Hello everybody!
I've been welding for a couple decades, and have finally got my own machine.
Hobart "Pipeliner" model GP-258, willys L-134 engine at 1800 RPM
It was a good deal on craiglist, running for $500.
The previous owner had a copy of the manual for it (thank goodness...)
What I'm wondering is, could anybody tell me the year?
How does the serial numbers break down?
And most importantly, would anybody have a copy of the schematic (wiring) diagram for it?
I intend to use it at my day job (class 8 / heavy equipment mech) and also for side jobs.
Specs are as follows:
Generator: 250A, 40V, 60% duty cycle
Model GP-258
Serial 5CW-32354
Specs 1819
Type 805819
Previous owner said it runs and welds, but it does need some work (rough, missing a few parts...)
And indeed it does run and weld.
