    Until this thread came up I wasn't even aware, until I did some searching, Chrysler made flathead straight 8's nor did I know they made flathead straight 4's for their early pickups.

        Straight 8s were common in the old Chryslers between the mid 30's to 50's, when they were common in luxury cars. I don't remember wide use as industrial engines.
