  • keg fueltank need help

im making a fueltank out of a keg if i weld mild steel to stainless with a flux core mig will it hold can't find a stainless coupler what can i do

You'd be better off silver soldering or brazing mild to SS. I would look a little harder and find the proper SS fitting then use GMAW to weld it on.
Two turn tables and a microphone.

Brazing is very strong. If you have the torch, brazing the fitting on will suffice.

I brazed a 1" round emissions hole shut in a new gastank with a patch one time and it never leaked.

As would pretty much any plumbing supply. Even home depot has a selection of smaller 304 fittings around here.

You could contact a machine shop in your town and i am sure they could make you any type of stainless steel fitting you need you just need to talk to then i am sure it would not cost too much
