  • need help building trailer ramps

trailers 26-28 off the ground at rear, i need to build 10-12ft ramps strong enough to hold 2500lb per ramp, what can i use that 1 person can handle alone?

I would recommend 3 x 3 x 3/8 angle for the runners and 2 x 2 x 1/4 for the cross sections. And for that length a minimum of 2 legs for support will be needed. Legs must not touch the ground when not supporting weight. However if your talking 10-12 ft long each thats going to be very heavy. What type of equipment will be loaded onto the trailer?

      FYI: 3 x 3 x 3/8 angle weighs 7.20 per foot. 2 x 2 x 1/4 weighs 3.19 per foot.

maybe build a ramp with a support and a hinge in the middle of the ramp ,and attached with a hinge to the trailer .
