  • Airco Mod.# CV-300 II

I have aquired an old Airco CV-300 II welder. It is wired for 480 VAC. I need to change it to 230 VAC. The schematic that was inside the panal is missing. Does anyone know where the jumpers go for 230 volts?
    Thanks for the effort,
    Mark

I have a CV-450 that still has the panel schematic. They might be similar; if I can find it I'll post a picture.

The bigger question is whether your machine is 3 phase, and if so do you have 3 phase service? My CV-450 is 3ph, and I don't have 3ph service, but I bought it for the outboard wire feeder so the useless power source is happily rotting in the back yard. I should have sold it for scrap back before commodity prices crashed...

      Airco CV-300 II Jumper settings

The Jumper Settings for an Airco CV-300 II 3 Phase Welder are as follows:
      208V 2-3, 6-7, 8-9, 12-13, 14-15, 18-19, A-B
      230V 3-4, 5-6, 9-10, 11-12, 15-16, 17-18, B-C
      460V 4-5, 10-11, 16-17, D-E

To avoid losing jumpers, double stack them for the 460V setting.
